Hey Family,

There are so many exciting new things going on at Wells Branch Community Church! I wanted to catch you up on some of them. You may know that we are a family of believers committed to reaching people with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ. We do that by starting with people who are far from God. We SCATTER believers around those far from God. We GATHER those far from God around believers, and we GROW believers to be fully devoted followers of Christ.

Happy Hour at Mezzaluna’s on October 17 was an incredible scatter event. There were about 30-40 of us coming in and out of the outdoor deck while our beloved worship pastor Grayson Dzialo and his wife Megan sang. I got to engage a couple people far from God and I’m hoping they join us tomorrow. Another scatter event is Last Tuesday, where young adults gather around Art Institute students who come and draw, paint, and listen to the incredible musical talent that Grayson has put together.

A new gather event is The Well. Last week, 49 young adults come together to worship, hear a message from Holland Greig , and hang out at Kenny’s Coffee. This is every Tuesday except Last Tuesday.

Halloweeners is an incredible scatter event coming up on October 31! We are so excited about being out in force to meet and greet our neighbors. Adrienne and I are having all of our neighborhood children coming over for a photo at 8pm. There are five locations that you can be involved with Halloweeners.

Tony and Elizabeth Bedard are hosting at 2813 Sydney Dr.

Francisco and Alma Castro are hosting at 14528 Regents Walk

Dave and Kelly Sheffield are hosting at 2010 Crystal Shore

The Youth will host one at the Community Center at KF Park

Adrienne and I are hosting one at our house at 15425 Ecorio Dr.

Please join one of these host homes and have an amazing time with all of our neighors! This is also a great time to get to know others that are involved in community groups. We believe that growing to be fully devoted followers of Jesus starts with community groups. Our community groups are not closed. If you want to join a group, you can join and not feel lost. No matter where you are on the spectrum of belief, you are welcome. We LOVE questions.

At each community group we talk about the sermon from Sunday, the scripture that was preached, and we get to know each other on a deeper level. That is how we move from a face we’ve seen before at church to a family for whom we love and care.
