Here at Wells Branch Community Church, our purpose is: Love God. Love People. Make Disciples. We believe the foundation of loving God and loving others starts with knowing Jesus as your personal Savior. We pray our kids will encounter the love of God, come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and embark on this mission of disciple making.
We love your kids!
Our goal is to engage the minds, bodies and creativity of our kids, to acquaint them with joy of glorifying God with their lives.
Time & Location
Branch Kids receives children on Sundays during our 9:00am and 10:45am service in the Live for More Center at 2113 Wells Branch Pkwy #1300, Austin, TX 78728.
Checking In Your Child To Branch Kids
If it is your first time, go to the front check-in desk and fill out a health and information form for each child. We will give you temporary name tags for your first visit. Following this visit, you will go directly to your child’s classroom and check in using the tablet outside of the door. On this tablet, you will input your cell phone number and it will generate a printed name tag for your child and a security tag for you.
If you'd like to pre-register your kids, you can plan your visit here:
Classrooms Breakdowns and Ministry Structure
Nursery: we accept children beginning at one month of age.
Toddlers: (developmental entry for this class is the ability to run with solid footing)
Preschool: ages 3 & 4 year olds (must be potty trained to attend this class)
Elementary: Kinder-1st grade
Elementary: 2nd & 3rd grade
Treehouse: 4th and 5th grade (meets in the worship center)
The students in the Preschool and Elementary classrooms will all participate in rotations. After our ministry wide Worship and Bible lesson, we have activity rotations during which each class will travel to an adjacent room and engage for 20 minutes of Crafts, Lesson Discussion & Snack and Games. Drop off and pick up locations are indicated by signs hanging above each classroom.
The treehouse is our 4th-5th grade ministry. This class meets upstairs in the Worship Center. These students attend service with their parents and engage in corporate worship. After announcements and just before the sermon, these students are dismissed to follow their teachers upstairs to our “treehouse” where they engage in a time of in-depth Bible Study and connection.
We can't wait to get to know YOUR kids!
Our classroom teachers voluntarily serve on a regular basis, excited to love and invest in your kids throughout the year. Most of our volunteers serve in an every other week capacity, so you and your kiddos can expect to see familiar faces. We background check all our volunteers to ensure the safety and integrity of our ministry.
We operate as a Children's Ministry in partnership with our Parents. We can't do this without you! We have a news wall in our Branch Kids lobby where you can find take home curriculum and registrations for additional events available to our Branch Kids families. We also have incentives for our elementary classes as we encourage them to bring their Bibles to church and learn memory verses.
To ensure we do our best leading your kids, we have created a Parent Partnership Policy.
Parent Partnership Policy
We expect our children to be respectful and obedient to volunteers and we know this is only made possible with the help and support of parents. In the event that we have issues with respect or obedience, we will engage the first phase of our five phase system. Each phase progresses as follows:
Phase 1: Verbal Warning from classroom teacher.
Phase 2: Time out.
Phase 3: Removal of the room. Child will sit in the Branch Kids lobby area for 5 minutes.
Phase 4: Parent called to remove child from class for the remainder of the day.
Phase 5: Parent/Director meeting to discuss behavior issues and create a success plan for reintegrating child into Branch Kids. Suspension of attendance is required until the parent/director meeting has taken place and a plan of action is executed.
Phase 6: In the event the reintegration plan is unsuccessful, Branch Kids staff will make the decision as to whether or not we are able to receive the child back into Branch Kids ministry.
