Here at Wells Branch Community Church, our purpose is: Love God. Love People. Make Disciples. Our purpose in Branch Kids is to equip parents and volunteers to lead our children into a Christ-centered life of disciple making.
We love your kids!
Our mission in Branch Kids is to acquaint our children with the joy of glorifying God through their lives while engaging their minds, bodies, and creativity.
Time & Location
Branch Kids receives children on Sundays during our 9:00am and 10:45am service in the Live for More Center at 2113 Wells Branch Pkwy #1300, Austin, TX 78728.
Checking In Your Child To Branch Kids
If it is your first time, go to the front check-in desk and fill out a health and information form for each child. We will give you temporary name tags for your first visit. Following this visit, you will go directly to your child’s classroom and check in using the tablet outside of the door. On this tablet, you will input your cell phone number and it will generate a printed name tag for your child and a security tag for you.
Nursery–5th Grade
We have 5 different age-appropriate environments for our Branch Kids to experience the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. Each of our classes participate in singing, Bible stories, coloring/craft, and playtime.
Classrooms Breakdowns and Ministry Structure
Our Nursery and Toddler classrooms are open for newborns through 3 years old and will have childcare, play time, snacks, and gospel stories.
The students in the BUDS, SAPLINGS and SHOOTS classrooms will all participate in rotations. We will have activity rotations during which each class will travel to an adjacent room and engage for 20 minutes of Worship/Story, Crafts/Snack, and Games.
The BUDS room is our Pre-K class. Buds will graduate in the Fall when they start attending Kindergarten.
The SAPLINGS room is our K-1st grade class. 1st graders will graduate in the Fall when they start attending 2nd grade.
The SHOOTS room is our 2nd-3rd grade class. 3rd graders will graduate in the Fall when they start attending 4th grade.
The treehouse is our 4th-5th grade ministry. 5th graders will graduate to The Branch Youth Group in the Fall when they start attending middle school. *This class meets upstairs in the Worship Center. These students attend service with their parents and engage in corporate worship. After announcements and just before the sermon, these students are dismissed to follow their teachers upstairs to our “treehouse” where they engage in a time of in-depth Bible Study and connection.
Curriculum
We use the Jesus Storybook Bible. We begin in September with the Old Testament and end the academic year in July with the completion of the New Testament. Preschool-Elementary students will move through the Bible at a one lesson per week pace, while the toddler class will choose one lesson per four weeks to repeat for an entire month. We have picked the Jesus Storybook Bible as we feel it does a fabulous job of engaging the creativity and inquisitive minds of children while also connecting each story back to the gospel message of Jesus and his gift of redemption for our sin.
The treehouse class (4th and 5th grade) uses The New City Catechism Curriculum. Each week they engage a new catechism question and continually learn how to share the gospel and grow in their individual prayer lives.
Allergies
Parents are responsible for checking Allergy Alert Signage and notifying classroom teachers of allergies. Teachers should mark all allergies on the child roster. Name Tags should also contain allergy information as they are generated in the Planning Center registration system and parents are asked specifically for allergy information upon registration. We do provide gluten free snack alternatives in class.
Child Protection Procedures
Parents are required to sign a parental consent waiver in order to drop off children in Branch Kids.
Our volunteers are background checked.
Wells Branch Community Church supports and maintains a zero tolerance policy against child abuse and neglect. It is against the law and against Wells Branch Community Church’s policy for any volunteer or staff member to physically, sexually, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually abuse or neglect any child.
