Tom Dahm and I were at Starbucks about to leave, when a woman noticed I was wearing a Live For More! shirt. She stared at me and I wasn’t sure if I had something on my face or what, but then she pointed in my direction and exclaimed, “Who are you? Your shirt. What is your shirt?”

I was slightly taken off guard, but approached the woman and told her what Live For More! meant. I told her about this wonderful pastor named Todd who had a vision of reaching people in the Wells Branch Area with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ. He wanted people to Live For More than this world had to offer. I told her about his tragic death, but it was that transformative statement that echoed in the hearts of those a part of our church.

She looked at me teary eyed and asked, “What church is it?”

I said, “Wells Branch Community Church.”

She smiled real big and said, “My friend Tony Garza has been asking me to come and check it out for the longest time. I need to go.”

Sure enough, Sunday morning she was there. Tears streamed down her face as she heard of Christ’s love for her in song and word. After the service, she gave Tony a big hug. It was a powerful reunion to say the least. She connected with Adrienne for a women’s weekly Bible Study and with Laura to be connected to all the women’s events at WBCC. I was so excited and overjoyed to see how our church body invests in people.
