Job Description
JOB TITLE: Branch Kids Director
REPORTS TO: Children’s Ministry Director
BASED AT: Wells Branch Community Church
HOURS: Part time
SALARY: $20/Hour
JOB PURPOSE:
The focus of the position will be to continue to grow and develop the current Branch Kids Ministry at Wells Branch Community Church by creating a welcoming and Christ centered environment for children and their families with a long term vision of growing the ministry and church community to reach the greater Austin Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

BRANCH KIDS DIRECTOR
Responsible for cultivating a community of believers at WBCC that strives to reach children, infant through third grade, with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ. The Branch Kids Director role will include but is not limited to the following…
- Plan and execute Branch Kids during Sunday Services
- Recruit and train ministry volunteers for Branch Kids
- Organize and manage all ministry volunteers for Branch Kids
- Focused evangelism toward children in Branch Kids
- Provide a welcoming, safe, fun atmosphere for Branch Kids during Sunday Services
- Prepare all lessons and materials for all classes within Branch Kids
- Organize all needed materials for Branch Kids
- Oversee all teaching efforts for Branch Kids during Sunday Services and provide feedback and correction as need.
- Create opportunities to showcase children within Branch Kids and their learning of God to the church.
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Attend weekly meeting with Children’s Ministry Director
- Oversee onboarding process of new volunteers for Branch Kids
- Complete annual Ministry Action Plan for Branch Kids including budget projections for the following year.

Recommended qualities
Needs to have:
- Actively engaged in Christian community within a church.
- Ability to communicate the gospel using multiple methods/styles of presentation.
- Regularly involved in sharing your faith.
- Exhibits a teachable and humble spirit.
- Prior experience leading or organizing volunteers
- Competency In aspects of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Shared Drives)
- Previous service history in family ministry (ie: Children’s, Youth, Great Adventure) within a church.
- Demonstrates ability to manage and execute multiple tasks in a well prioritized, timely manner.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience teaching a Biblical or Academic curriculum.
- Prior experience as a lead teacher to children or teens.
- Understanding of developmental benchmarks in children 0-10 years.
- Familiarity with autism, ADHD diagnosis, common behavioral patterns.
