How much does this whole thing cost?
The cost of the overall project is around nine to ten million dollars. This cost is not set in stone and will change as the plans change and adjust over time. A portion of this cost will be obtained in the form of a loan and the other portion of the cost will be obtained over 3 years through the financial commitments of those within our church family and other people that choose to participate in the RTS Capital Campaign.
What is the timeline to raise the money?
The RTS Capital Campaign will start on Celebration Sunday, October 24th, 2021 where we will celebrate all that was committed on Commitment Sunday October 17th, 2021. The RTS Capital Campaign will end on October 24th, 2024 (3 years). We encourage you to pray and seek God on what and how He would have you give during this time. You will be able to give all of your commitment up front or steadily over the 3 year period.
What happens if the commitments to give do not match the overall cost of the project?
We have been in prayer and believe that this is where God is leading our church. The current plan will provide us with a church home for generations to come. If the commitments received paired with the loan obtained do not match the overall costs of the project the Elders will pray and consider our next steps at that time. Logistically, our architect has provided us with a multi-phased plan for future growth and if needed we can scale back the project based on where God leads.
When will we start to build on the new land?
This has yet to be determined and will be dependent on how much of the funds for the project is gifted up front in order for us to begin the work needing to be done. The plan is to start building sometime in Q1 of 2022 and be completed with the project and moved in 12-14 months after we begin.
How should I determine what to give to the RTS Capital Campaign?
Begin with prayer and seek God on what he would have you give above and beyond your normal offering. Don’t make a quick decision, instead take this time and opportunity to prayerfully consider how God would have you use the resources that He has blessed you with. More than anything we want you to experience the joys of sacrificial giving and what it truly means to be dependent on God. If you need further counsel on figuring out the logistics of what to give, please reach out to any of our pastoral staff or email email@example.com and we will get connected to someone who can help.
If I have any questions, who do I ask?
Feel free to ask any of our Elders or staff any questions you may have. The individual you speak with may not have all the answers you’re looking for but we will do our best to get an answer for you soon. As always, you can send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will have the appropriate person get back with you.
What is the best way to stay informed about the RTS Capital Campaign?
There are several ways to stay connected and informed during the RTS Capital Campaign:
- Get into a community group... Community Groups are the best way to get connected here at WBCC and there will be community group specific things that will happen as we go through the RTS series as a church. If you are not in a community group, email our Community Groups Pastor, James Foster at James@wellsbranchchurch.com.
- Come to church... Each Sunday, until Celebration Sunday on 10/24, we will be sharing more details and instruction on the RTS Capital Campaign so attending service is key.
- Refer to your RTS Capital Campaign Guide... Each person should receive a RTS Capital Campaign Guide (book) that is available physically on Sunday mornings. This guide is also available on the RTS website for your to download or reference.
- Check the RTS website... This website will be the hub for the RTS Capital Campaign for the next 3 years and will be maintained and updates will be added when we have them.
